are Paiste Planet Gongs?
Paiste Planet Gongs are the
most resonant gongs available and are made by the Paiste
percussion company in Europe. These gongs feature a strong
fundamental (lowest) note which is specially- pitched to
represent a natural harmonic series based on the orbital
properties of the Sun, the Earth, the Moon and the other
planets as calculated by physicist Hans Cousto. Dr. Cousto
measured the frequencies of these planets and then translated
those into sounds which were perceptible by the human ear.
Planet Gongs resonate harmonically with the cycles of the
cosmos, communicating to us what has been known since antiquity
